Sometimes what you uncover are priceless antiques hidden behind layers of drywall and sometimes they're live wires no longer connected to anything usable or missing structural elements.
Our job is to inspect and then work closely with you, the client, to plan your project. We work diligently to find what we can keep, what we can remove, and what we can add. We then document every detail in drawings: Design drawings are legal documents - not just for getting permits, but they're also a contract between you and the contractor. It's the long standing, traditional way of guaranteeing a project's positive outcome: the finished project has to look exactly like the drawings, and not just on the outside, but structurally as well. With new construction, this is a simple process; read the drawings and build. With a renovation, it's more involved, and we're there to adjust the design and drawings to get around obstacles as demolition and construction proceeds.
